Defending Ted Rall
Ted Rall is probably one of the nation's most brilliant and progressive editorial cartoonists, and therefore has come under increasing attack for questioning US policies "in time of war." His latest cartoon was withdrawn by the New York Times for taking on the "terror widows" who seek media attention after the attacks.
It seems people have forgotten the job of a cartoon is to exaggerate everything in hopes of making a more subtle point. John Scalzi knows Ted Rall and understands why the cartoons are worth reading, and every critic of Rall's should read the cartoon at the bottom of the article to understand the point if they're too thick to get it.
"No, I will not fix your computer."
I thought about buying this shirt from Think Geek until I realized most of my family members would wonder why I was being mean to them.
