I'm changing the site to a CSS-based layout with an external style sheet. It makes the HTML much simpler, it lets your browser cache the style sheet so it doesn't download it for every damn page, and it makes changing the appearance a lot easier. Right now, this is not much different than the stock CSS theme from UserLand, but it was enough to stimulate me to start the change while my brain needed a diversion.

Expect colors, fonts, and minor layout things to change in the next few days. In the meantime, please enjoy some of the sites I read each day, especially Jerry Kindall, who is jealous about not being Daved.

This got so long I made it a story -- Rukeyser has gotten a commercial cable channel to give him a commercial-free show designed expressly to kill the public television show he created that canned him a few weeks ago. If he's as aggressive about investing as he is about revenge, no wonder people watch the show.
