It would just be sad if people didn't die because of it. The IndyMedia Web site was created to support "independent" media of all kinds, and therefore does absolutely no filtering of submitted stories. So someone posted a CNN.com story on yesterday's Palestinian attack that killed three Israeli settlers and a 5-year-old child, but prefaced it, "Only one way the Palestinians are going to get their land back from Israeli thieves. Gunmen kill three Israeli land thieves, plus one future land thief."

The five-year-old was the "future land thief." Comments on the story call it "sick," among other things, but one says that when Israeli soldiers kill Palestinian children, they're often described as "future suicide bombers."

Just on a hunch, I translated that unfortunately ambiguous headline to French and back to English via Google's translation service.

I got "The United States falls behind into education from sex."
