RIAA hypocrisy exposed yet again

The same organization that wants unfettered rights to hack into your computer, look for music it thinks may be stolen, and delete any files it wants without any civil or criminal liability, is horribly annoyed that someone implemented a simple Denial of Service attack on its servers over the weekend.

"Don't they have something better to do during the summer than hack our site?" asked the RIAA representative, who asked not to be identified. "Perhaps it at least took 10 minutes away from stealing music."

Once again, the RIAA shows that you are guilty until proven innocent. You are a criminal trying to steal music, and only they should be protected by hacking laws. Dave Winer's election viewpoints may be a bit simplistic, but it's seriously time to demand that every candidate you vote for take a stand on these copyright bills. Just asking will make most of them think. (via Politech)
