OU 37, Tulsa 0
Anyone who was concerned about the Sooners after the dull first quarter clearly has no appreciation of OU football history. It always takes them a few series to get warmed up. Anyone remember Nebraska going up 14-0 on OU in 2000 in the first quarter before not scoring one more single point?
Still, it could have been better. This is why OU is smart enough to schedule early season tune-up games against opponents like Tulsa and USF that really want to play the Sooners. Washington played Michigan today and clearly wasn't ready; UW handed that game to UM. Colorado lost to Colorado State because, well, because they can't beat CSU. Then again, OU could have its hands full with Alabama next week.
OU may fall from #1 in the polls. Big deal, they're looking for an excuse to not have OU as #1. Wait until mid-October.
