Jerry Palm of CollegeBCS.com thinks so, but only indirectly (he thinks it will be the Big XII champ, but that it will be Colorado, not OU, and that's certainly possible). It took me about 45 minutes to understand how the Big XII champ could make it to Pasadena, but I got it, and I've tried to explain it.

Update (2002.12.03): Jerry Palm is increasingly convinced that the BCS and the Rose Bowl will pressure the Orange Bowl into doing the right thing and passing on Notre Dame so Iowa can be the last at-large team. I'm still not sure; the reasoning in my story still applies, especially to the Big Ten conference.
