Through the looking glass

What kind of Fox News story could provoke FBI criticism from both Instapundit (calling the FBI "lame") and Talk Left (calling it a "stunner")? Try this:

The FBI has had Dr. Steven Hatfill under round-the-clock surveillance because he is a "person of interest" in the 2001 anthrax attacks investigation. They keep his home under watch, and when he leaves, they tail him. This past saturday, a green SUV was following "especially closely," so Hatfill parked on the street (in a legal parking space) and got out of the car to take a picture of the people following him. The FBI agents didn't like that, so they sped away, running over Hatfield's foot in the process.

The lame and stunning part? Hatfield got a ticket for standing in the street - next to his parked car - to take the picture. The FBI agents were neither identified nor charged with any crimes, but the guy whose foot they ran over is charged with a misdemeanor for standing next to his parked car.
