Oh dear Lord.
There are so many paragraphs and paragraphs of military talk at Daily Kos these days that I almost missed this:
ABC News says they think there have been five suicides in Iraq so far, numbers the Pentagon does not want to give out.
From CNN:
As of July 15, there have been 223 U.S. troops killed in the war in Iraq since the conflict started in March. Hostile acts have accounted for 148 of the deaths, while 75 are attributed to non-hostile causes.
2% of troop deaths and 6% of "non-hostile" deaths among U.S. troops are suicide? Just four months after this started? I'm stunned.
