This has been around for a while, but when you hear prominent politicians and news media types espousing what the military should or should not do, check out this list of who actually served in the military and who did not - and especially the excuses they gave for not doing so. Most of Bush's cabinet and advisors did not serve. Most of their critics did.

I wish the site wasn't so quick to disparage the military service of some Republicans, but the information is harder to find in non-partisan form. Sigh.
