Liberal media equivalence
By PETER JACKSON, Associated Press WriterBOSTON - Teresa Heinz Kerry urged her home-state delegates to the Democratic National Convention to restore a more civil tone to American politics, then minutes later told a newspaperman to "shove it."

Vice President Dick Cheney recently came under criticism for using a four-letter obscenity in an exchange with Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., on the Senate floor. He later was unapologetic about the remark, saying: "I felt better after I said it."
Oh, yeah, a candidate's wife telling a reporter to "shove it" is the same thing as the sitting Vice President telling a veteran senator to "go fuck yourself." Exactly the same thing. Ask the MPAA.
I thought Peter Jackson was working on King Kong, anyway.
Update: Kevin Drum points out that the "reporter" in question is really the editorial page editor of the Scaife-owned Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, and his editorial page has been attacking Theresa Heinz Kerry and the Heinz Family endowment ever since - wait for it - her husband started running for President.
Somehow, the AP managed not to mention any of this. How shocking.
