So I went to the Doctor on Thursday...

...for a regularly scheduled appointment, but it was time to talk about some stuff anyway. I've had trouble sleeping more than 4 hours at a time for about 2 weeks, which has really not helped with work. I weigh less than I did at my last visit, but still more than I did a couple of weeks ago before I got some real eating-out cravings.

His advice made sense: relax more, stress less, give up on the things that require 30 hours per day, and so on. I also got a flu shot, because apparently the flu season is coming back strong now in Oklahoma. I've never had a flu shot before. I felt a bit logy today, but nothing like the effects of four hours' sleep.

I think the biggest help for my health is that I've abandoned the Aeron chair in favor of a Bodybilt model. I've been using a loaner for three weeks, and mine arrived today, so I'm still getting used to it. I'll write about it later, but based on the loaner and the first day, I don't think I'm ever buying another non-Bodybilt work chair. Apparently the Aeron is great if you're in the 95th body percentile, but I'm not. I'm 6'4", and skin and bones, as in "you can see my ribs," I weigh 235 pounds. (Hint: you cannot see my ribs right now.) The Aeron has apparently been cutting off some circulation to my legs, and never wants to stay tall enough for me to be comfortable.

Anyway, more about that after some more breaking-in of the new seatage. I need to eat some more vegetables tomorrow, too. I don't think chocolate counts.
