Story: More Oklahoma hate laws in progress
Started out as just a notice, but by the time I finally got this all off my chest, it was another full-blown story. One freshman Oklahoma legislator is so gay-hating that he wrote and introduced a measure that would have disbanded Oklahoma County to punish it for adopting a policy against discriminating on sexual orientation.
Thankfully, it got amended on the floor of the House so that now it's just a blatantly unconstitutional, hate-filled attempt to void every such policy in the state, justified with "special rights" rhetoric that the Supreme Court smacked down nine years ago. It's really very sad - and it passed 65-28. Must read. Don't make me put it all on the home page.
