El Reno tops nation's temperature chart
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The Canadian County town of El Reno was the hottest place in the lower 48 states.
The National Weather Service says the highest temperature recorded in the lower 48 yesterday was 105 degrees at El Reno. That's compared to the daily low temperature of 28 degrees, recorded at Truckee, California.
Aside from some early morning showers, the Southwest remained dry and warm with temperatures reaching the 90s and 100s.
According to the Yahoo! weather widget, the predicted high temperatures for today and the next four days are: 103°, 98°, 98°, 100°, and 104° on Thursday. So we're expecting a two-day cool front starting tomorrow.
