Fun with prepositions

As far as Rove's useless, dirty cover comment that he "didn't know her name, didn't leak her name" is concerned, this is all a hammered together backstory that is somehow supposed to convince a jury that a just world would make him come before.
I had to read that last clause a few times because it's so awkwardly worded. So, with Editor Guy waking up, I thought, "Well, of course, you shouldn't end that with a preposition. It's not a restrictive clause, so it should be 'which' instead of 'that' anyway." So mentally, I reformulated it:
…somehow supposed to convince a jury before which a just world would make him come.
That's really much worse, isn't it?
