Five Men and a Limo

At Boing Boing, via Human Inbox, via Oliver Willis, is this QuickTime video promoting the Hollywood Reporter's Key Art Awards, featuring five of the biggest voices in movie trailers all riding in the same car.

What was really funny to me, geek that I am, is that one of the five is Nick Tate, who has himself been in almost everything as an actor. I remember him from Star Trek: The Next Generation's episode "Final Mission," where he was the stupid shuttle captain who got killed on Wil Wheaton's final episode as a regular, and even more memorable, as the doomed gangster "Bilby" in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's episode of the same name.

He always got "and" crediting - the last guest star listed, as "and Nick Tate." That's usually reserved for semi-luminaries, and I never could figure out what he'd done to make him that famous. Maybe the voice-over work was it. More recently, Tate was in episode 3 of Lost as "Ray," the Australian farmer who found Kate in his barn and eventually went to turn her in. Kate crashed the truck when she saw the Marshal was on their tail, but she took the time to save Ray and that's how she got caught. Tate's everywhere.

(BTW, IMDB says this film was made in 1997, but it's still funny.)
