Ah, Word, how you bring humor to my life.
While writing today's issue of MDJ, I typed the following:
The functional changes are even more nerdy.
Word 2004 (with the Service Pack 2 update, thank yew) drew a green squiggly line under that, indicating a grammar error. When I right-clicked to see the problem, it suggested that instead of "more nerdy," I should use "nerdier."
Amused that Word would have such words built into it, I agreed, and picked "nerdier" from the contextual menu to make the change.
The functional changes are even nerdier.
As soon as I did so, I got a red squiggly line under nerdier. Word's spelling dictionary didn't know that word, and suggested that I might have meant needier.
How nerdy can you get?
