HBO did well again with original movies Wit, Conspiracy, and Boycott all winning excellence awards. ABC won for Nightline and Anne Frank as well as its coverage of September 11 (NPR was also lauded for September 11 news coverage). The Third Watch episode that mixed the story with real-life firefighters and policemen reacting to 9/11 also won.

No Peabody this year for The Daily Show, alas. But there is one for The Bernie Mac Show. WHAT???? It's a one-joke show: "I'm gonna kill my kids!" It ranks somewhere on Fox's lineup above "Celebrity Boxing" and below just about everything else. Bernie Mac's stand-up is funny, what I've seen of it, but this show is a one-note song that grew old in its first ten minutes. Yeesh. Where's my Peabody?
