Answering Jerry Palm's question
From the subscribers-only recap of week 1 of NCAA football on Jerry Palm's CollegeBCS.com (which, by the way, is still the best $15 a college football fan can spend in a given season):
The USC rebuilding project appears to be right on schedule. The Trojans scored five second-half touchdowns to romp over Arkansas 50-14. At least the Razorbacks made it closer than last year (70-17). John David Booty threw for 260 yards and three touchdowns in his debut as Matt Leinart's replacement.
By the way, does anyone know why Booty is referred to by his full name? Usually, if the media uses someone's middle name, it means that person has been arrested for some horrible crime (John Mark Carr being the most recent example).
Because "John Booty" sounds like his porn name. Duh.
