Sin and Syntax
But Sin and Syntax is cool. Hale loves the language and exhorts writers to find meaty nouns and active verbs, excising the dreck that most of us use instead of precision and oomph. She's also one of the few writers to realize that "Think Different" is not a grammatical error (she doesn't grasp everything about the slogan, but she groks enough).
This is my current read. I'm slammed on work, have an appointment tomorrow night, and a funeral on Friday, but when I have a few moments and need to recharge I'm thinking of how to get rid of adverbs.
