Oops - spoke too soon
If Washington State loses to UCLA today (WSU is up by 10 at halftime as I write this), USC is the Pac-10 champ and goes to the Rose Bowl. That leaves two true at-large spots available in the BCS with no automatic berths, in the most likely cases. Miami has already clinched the Fiesta Bowl, so they won't muck up the other bowl picture.
If two at-large teams are available, the Orange or Sugar Bowls might very well choose another Big XII team to play against FSU or the SEC champ (though if Arkansas wins the SEC, I doubt the Sugar Bowl would pick Oklahoma if OU wins, since OU played Arkansas in the Cotton Bowl last year). But KSU could go to the Orange Bowl against FSU and the Big XII Champ play Georgia, or something like that.
I don't know what will happen, and WSU is still looking good. I just wanted to correct "no reasonable shot."
