Josh Marshall of Talking Points Memo does for the Washington Monthly what the rest of the press is afraid to do: detail VP Dick Cheney's repeated, consistent failures in policy for the Bush administration, including noting that the punditocracy's story of "Cheney is the firm hand in control" keeps them from seeing all the evidence that he's in waaaaaay over his head.
Marshall leaves out the most egregious example of the "I have all the facts so I'm in the best place to make the decision" attitude, though: a man who's charged by a presidential candidate with vetting VP candidates and, after the process, determines that the best man is -- himself! Trust him, he had the facts, you didn't...
