Secret Service blatantly political?
I don't like the "free speech zone" or "protest zone" concept any more than anyone else, but when we're talking about the United States Secret Service, for pete's sake, I'm more than willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. The Secret Service is not partisan.
...except that George W. Bush seems to have broken that, too. They're harassing people at the conventions for not being sufficiently patriotic? They're telling DNC delegates to take off anti-Bush buttons? They're threatening security volunteers who challenge their credential-free attacks? (Read the comments on the linked post for a lot more.)
Secret Service is part of Homeland Security, but if any of this is true, how can Congress not be demanding an investigation yesterday? Where are the lawsuits? Where's the ACLU?
